Begonia – Gin

Begonias are one of the most versatile bedding plants available. They work well in borders, beds, containers and window boxes.  Bronze leaf varieties withstand heat better than green leaf varieties.  Green leaf varieties will darken in full sun.
Foliage:  Bronze leaf (rose flowers)
Flowering Period:  June through October
Growing Conditions:  Should not be watered in the heat of the day to avoid burning the plants.  Enriching the soil with humus is also beneficial in beds with begonias.
Height: Grows 6-9 inches tall.
Spacing:  Plant 6-18 inches apart. 
Light:  Full sun to full shade.
